Santa Fe Fuego Edge Pecos Bills in 12 Innings

July 15 2024 The Santa Fe Fuego defeated the Pecos Bills 7-6 in 12 innings at Cyclone Ballpark. Santa Fe finished with 14 hits and no errors while Pecos collected 16 hits but committed nine errors.

Santa Fe broke through with five runs in the fourth inning and added one in the sixth before Pecos answered with three runs in the seventh and three more in the ninth. The Fuego scored the deciding run in the 12th inning. Rodney Scarver led Santa Fe with four hits and two RBI, while Kyler Rinehart and Dominic Scotti each drove in a run. Greg Salazar also contributed three hits and scored twice.

Jorge Peralta drove in two runs for Pecos, and Christian Quezada and Taufahema, T each had three hits. Dominic Scotti earned the win after allowing three hits and no runs in three innings with one strikeout. Santa Fe starter Greg Salazar worked eight innings and allowed five runs three earned on nine hits with three walks and two strikeouts. Travis Bonner took the loss for Pecos despite allowing one run on two hits in four innings while striking out four.
