Blackwell Flycatchers Rout Pecos Bills 21-7

June 28 2024 The Blackwell Flycatchers defeated the Pecos Bills 21-7 at Morgan Field, scoring nine runs in the first inning and never trailing. Blackwell finished with 20 hits, while Pecos collected eight. The Flycatchers also added five runs in the fourth inning and five more in the seventh to pull away. D. Burroughs led Blackwell’s offensive attack by going 4-for-6 with a home run, three runs and seven RBI. D. Martinez went 4-for-4 with three runs, while J. Dice scored three times and Jack Skantze contributed two hits, two runs and one RBI. B. Levandowski added a home run and three RBI, and Markus Bracey and Rey Lozano each drove in two runs. Pecos was led by Boria, J, who went 2-for-3 with two walks and two runs. D. Albin had two hits and two RBI, while Josh Kellogg drove in two runs. Pecos scored once in the first, once in the second, twice in the third and three times in the fourth, but was held scoreless over the final five innings. Cade Caldwell earned the win for Blackwell with one hitless inning and two strikeouts. Brendan Moran, D. Martin, Matt Rones and C. Johnson each added a scoreless inning in relief. Ismael DeLosSantos took the loss after allowing seven hits and nine runs in one-third of an inning.
