Saguaros Rally Past Bills 10-6

June 4 2024 The Tucson Saguaros defeated the Pecos Bills 10-6 at Kino Stadium, overcoming an early deficit with a six-run seventh inning. Tucson finished with eight hits and one error, while Pecos collected 11 hits and committed two errors.

Pecos scored three times in the first inning and held a 3-2 lead after two innings. Tucson added single runs in the third and fifth to take a 4-3 advantage before breaking the game open with six runs in the seventh. Pecos answered with three runs in the ninth but could not complete the comeback.

Gavy Perez-Torres led Tucson with two hits, three runs, two RBI and a home run. Josh Franklin also had two hits and drove in a run, while W. Kumagai contributed a double and two RBI. S. Plash added a pinch-hit double and an RBI. For Pecos, Luke Smith went 2-for-4 with two runs and an RBI, and J. Rodriguez collected two hits. Pecos recorded four doubles as a team.

Ian Concevitch earned the win after allowing three earned runs on six hits in five innings while striking out six. D. Curthoys followed with two scoreless innings and three strikeouts, and M. White added a scoreless inning. Tyler Hopper took the loss for Pecos after permitting four earned runs in five innings, while Saul Arias allowed six runs over three innings.
